Mongolian beavers are the first class protected animals in China. There are only about 600 beavers left in China. Their only habitat in China is located in the 725km long river channel of Ulungu River Basin in Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang. However, beavers avoid predators in their own nests all year round, and only come out to forage at night, so there is very little scientific research data and video information about beavers.

By training the model with labeled data, the system will automatically label and isolate the shots where the beaver appears, and then develop the beaver monitoring platform to realize AI control of the surveillance camera to automatically rotate and lock the beaver - focus - recognition - record storage. The NPU chip architecture combined with AI algorithm is used to transform the infrared camera and will be placed next to each river beetle nest. After the beaver appears on the same day, it will be sent back in real time through ad hoc network technology, if there is no return photo in two days, the beaver may be trapped, and we will rescue it and realize 7 * 24 ecological monitoring visualization big data platform.

In 2021, according to the latest population survey data of the entire beaver population, with the joint efforts of everyone, the population of Mongolian beavers, a national first-class protected animal, has increased by 20%, reaching the highest peak since observation data has been recorded. Ms. Chu Wenwen, the founder of the association, was also invited to speak as a representative of Chinese youth at the opening ceremony of the UN COP15 conference to tell the story of protecting beavers.
